Sports car racing, world class at that. Nissan just refused to take the wraps off their 2015 Le Mans weapon Doesn't matter the announcement itself is enough excitement. Did you ever notice when the big Japanese three started meandering down the path of mediocrity? I did, it was the minute they pulled the plug on their full scale works programs.
Look what Toyota has done since bringing the works team back. FRS, Supra on the horizon, design is a little sketchy but they're building better product EVERYDAY!
I think that it really says something about a brand to have a full scale works program. It really amps up the performance, research and development of the brand. I wonder what is hiding under that cover that they won't show us now. I'm sure it won't disappoint.
So the car under the veil there is going to be racing at Le Mans? Should be exciting to see how Toyota does. They are the largest automaker in the world so if they also have racing success then they have basically won the car industry.
That race car better have tech we will see in a future supercar that sits above the GT-R or it could possibly be some hybrid tech that makes their hybrid models seem cool, like the leaf....i wouldn't be caught dead in one.
there is some VERY cool stuff coming down the pipe in hybrid land. I'm glad they've stopped pigeon holing electricity into efficiency applications. Electricity is so linear in deployment you're always at peak power using electricity. The problem is battery tech. Super capacitors seem promising however!
