There are 4 Nissan IDx's....

No there's only two! Ah I see someone put their thinking cap on today

Read, then write...

Road and Track spent some time with the IDx NISMO concept shortly after Detroit this year. What they found out was that the NISMO concept they have is actually stamped 000-004, meaning there are 3 other IDx's. Freeflow is obviously 000-003, but where or what are 002 and 001?

Its possible 002 and 001 are a sedan and wagon/shooting brake variant, I mean there is precedent with the 510 to offer sedans and wagons.

OR

We saw two subtly different IDx concepts from Tokyo to Detroit, how many of you picked it up?

IDx NISMO

IDx Freeflow

I wonder if 001 and 002 are the Tokyo cars, leaving 003 and 004 as the Detroit cars?

the nismo themed idx looks the part with all the fancy colors and carbon panels but will it live up to its attire. fancy suit? better be able to walk the walk. i will guess that this model with most likely have suspension upgrades like larger diameter sway bars and stiffer springs and a better damper. the goodies to make it move well.

the freeflow is simple, retro maybe appealing to the crowd that remembers the off colors for the 510 or even the new hipster would draw some interest but those guys dont have jobs anyways. see see no buy.

as for the other two i'd say they will be the 4 door sedans in the line up. what do you guys think?

I think that a wagon and a sedan are quite possible. I'm not sure if that explains the numbers though. It seems to me that Nissan would be foolish not to make this into a four-door sedan. A wagon will probably be done at least for Europe.

Really good eye. this does raise the question if there are 2 freeflow concepts. But I think we need to look into this more, maybe with more comparisons

I dont know if theres room for a true manual in there. Its such a short car and the only RWD manual gearbox Nissan has is for the 370/Q60....
