Yes sir this is true, It would be way out of budget to stick that transmission in to the IDX and then by the time it gets to us it wouldn't be worth it. Hwoever it can happen with a one off model like what they did with the JUKE R.

CVT is killer at the moment and what I mean by that is the true enthusiast...

Indeed! CVT flys with the commuter crowd. The IDx is in an odd spot, CVT coupe will not fly with the enthusiasts nor with the practical commuter crowd. so MT or you're dead in the water nissan...

If they ever plan on dropping a CVT in the IDX i hope it will only be in a sedan or wagon version

I just don't egt what Nissan is thinking. the only fix and hope we have is for there to be a 6 speed variant among the models. If anything I'd say the Nismo. If not, sorry Nissan you're fishing in the wrong lake. Take it to the pond.

Yeah likely that is the case, i'm thinking they will want to save some of the cool stuff for later production years which is what a lot of car makers do, but of course they cannot hold too much back as that can be bad for them
